Samsung is gearing up for the launch of the Galaxy XCover 7 smartphone series in India, as evidenced by the live support page for the device. Anticipated features include an IP68 water resistance rating, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and a 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT display.

Samsung, the South Korean smartphone manufacturer, is poised to introduce the Galaxy XCover 7 in India, as indicated by the activation of the device’s support page in the country. It’s worth noting that Samsung recently unveiled its flagship S24 series in India and other markets during the Galaxy Unpacked event held on January 17.

As per information from Gizmochina, the upcoming Samsung smartphone, identified by the model number “SM-G556B,” obtained BIS certification in India in November 2023. Additionally, the device has secured certifications in Malaysia and Thailand.

Galaxy X Cover 7 specifications: 

Allegedly, the Galaxy XCover 7 is set to include an IP68 water resistance rating and offer heightened display protection, courtesy of the Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ shielding on the front. The forthcoming Samsung smartphone is rumored to boast a 6.6-inch FHD+ TFT display, featuring enhanced touch sensitivity for glove use. Powering the Galaxy XCover 7 could be the octa-core Dimensity 6100+ chipset, built on a 6nm process, accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, expandable up to 1TB through a microSD card.

In the camera department, the new Samsung phone may house a 50MP primary sensor and a 5MP front-facing shooter, catering to all photographic and video call needs.

The smartphone is anticipated to come equipped with a 4,050 mAh battery and weigh approximately 240g. Regarding connectivity, the Galaxy XCover 7 is likely to include a 3.5mm jack, POGO pins, and a USB-C port. Additionally, the upcoming smartphone is expected to operate on Samsung’s OneUI 6, based on Android 14. Notably, the device may incorporate extra features such as a customizable XCover key, barcode scanning capabilities with Knox Capture, and support for Dolby Atmos.
