The upcoming ‘100km of Champions’ dirt track race, scheduled for January 12-13 at Valentino Rossi’s MotoRanch in Tavullia, is set to feature a diverse lineup of both current and former two-wheeled stars. The event is known for inviting past and present riders to join Rossi and VR46 Academy participants at their renowned training track.

Among the notable participants are seven current MotoGP riders, including reigning Moto2 champion Pedro Acosta, GASGAS teammate Augusto Fernandez, and new VR46 signee Fabio di Giannantonio. They will be joined by Ducati’s reigning champion Francesco Bagnaia, along with fellow Academy riders Franco Morbidelli, Marco Bezzecchi, and Luca Marini.

Other former MotoGP riders joining the event include Danilo Petrucci, Remy Gardner, and Tito Rabat, along with WorldSBK race winner Michael Ruben Rinaldi.

In the previous edition, the individual ‘Americana’ elimination contest on Friday evening was won by new Repsol Honda rider Luca Marini. However, the 100km race was postponed by a day due to inclement weather and was eventually won by Elia Bartolini and Lorenzo Baldassarri.

  1. I can’t see the G.O.A.T.’s name up there, perhaps Rossi has heard how good Marc is on a dirt bike. In fact he practices his skills alongside this dirt bike champion, and the look fairly even from what ive seen.
I suppose Rossi wouln’nt want Marquez showing him up again.
