Pecco Bagnaia expressed his gratitude to Jorge Martin, acknowledging that he experienced more pressure than ever before in his MotoGP career.

The duo engaged in one of the most tightly contested MotoGP title battles in recent history, with the championship being decided in the concluding race of the season. A similar scenario unfolded in 2022, where Bagnaia prevailed over Fabio Quartararo. However, the introduction of sprint races added an extra layer of intensity to this year’s competition.

Acknowledging his own individual errors, Bagnaia confessed to finding joy in the pressure exerted by Martin.

“Pressure is a privilege,” said the Italian when speaking to MotoGP.com , “Without this thing, this sensation, you can’t enjoy it.

“Winning or losing has the possibility of a different pressure and it’s great.

“It’s the best thing possible. I want to say thanks to Jorge because he helped me feel this feeling more.”wo

Pecco Bagnaia, securing his status as the first consecutive MotoGP champion since Marc Marquez in 2018-19, anticipates a more formidable competition in the upcoming year. The inclusion of Marc Marquez in Ducati adds to the anticipation, especially considering the eight-time world champion’s impressive fourth-place finish in the Valencia test.

“It will be more difficult. Next year we will have Marc with the Ducati, we will have Bezzecchi, maybe we will have Quartararo with the Yamaha, Morbidelli with Ducati and you can’t forget about the KTM’s.” He added.
